 specifications including; SAE J827 (which describes chemical composition, hardness, microstructure and 

physical characteristic requirements for steel shot to be used for shot peening or blast-cleaning operations), 

SAE J444 (cast shot size specifications for cleaning) and ISO 11124/3 (specification for steel shot and grit).
